#Wednesday Wisdom - Closer Than I Was Yesterday

Happy Wednesday!

I am tired. How about you? Its a very busy time for us accountants (thats my day job) so I have been super busy and it feels like so much is just sneaking up on me.

I have a trade show to go to this weekend, my taxes to file, the Spring preview, NYFW and the Spring Kadence Box on top of my regular work responsibilities. Plus, wife and mommy life.

Have you ever felt like you set all these goals and are doing all this work and not seeing the fruits of your efforts?

That's why my word for these year is perseverance. With all I'm doing, at this point in the journey, I would want to give up something because it doesn't "seem" to be working. But I have to remind myself,

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

On the days when I'm dog tired, the sitter calls to say she can't keep my kids, my blog post is only seen by a handful of people, my businesses aren't doing as well as I want them to, and I am up against a deadline at work I have to remind myself that life is a marathon, not a race and that those who are the most successful are the folks who last the longest.

Each day we get closer to our goals because we are working towards them and we are closer today than we were yesterday.
