Happy Monday!
You were in my thoughts all weekend. First and foremost, how are you doing? Let me know in the comments. I hope you are well.
While I am still able to work full-time from home I know that many cannot. As many are feeling the pressure of all that is going on in our world, I'm acutely aware of others who don't have the ability to work and the resources to pay bills that are still due.
So while we are waiting for our stimulus checks I thought I would share my
Top 5 Fashion Spaces to Make Cash While on Quarantine
It is Spring Cleaning season and we have the time now to clear out our closets. In the fashion space sustainability and the second-hand movement is still going strong which means there are dollars sitting in your closet that you cash in.
With it being Earth Month, this list is comprised of spaces you can sell your stuff, practice social distancing and help the planet. #circulareconomy
Poshmark
I sell on
Poshmark and you can sell Mens, Womens, Kids, Home... almost anything you got you can sell. Pay out is fairly quick. Once your package is accepted by the buyer funds are released to you. Just look through your house for items you are willing to part with, download the app, upload the items and start selling.
They say, if you haven't worn it in 3 months list it on Poshmark.
From here on out if you are looking for a set it and forget it option, because perhaps you now find yourself homeschooling your children and its a struggle, consignment is the way to go.
Swap
Swap is thrift consignment and I talk about them a lot. I also shop them a lot. Lol. Name brands are not required it just needs to be in good condition. Plus, if your items pass the Swap test you could become a Premier Seller and have an income stream long after this quarantine is over.
The RealReal
The RealReal is luxury consignment. If you have quality, high-end Name Brand clothes, shoes, accessories for Men, Women and Kids and home goods The RealReal is the stop. You can ship the items to them and they are now doing
virtual White Glove service.
ThredUp
ThredUp is another fave. The accept women and kids clothes from mid-level brands. Think Asos, Banana Republic and J. Crew. They ship you your
Cleanout Kit, you fill it with your stuff and if they can't sell it they donate it.
Also at ThredUp, if you want to and can help those affected by COVID-19 request a
Donation Kit instead. For every
Donation Kit you send, they’ll give $15 to Feeding America. Up to $1M. Through May 31, 2020.
Fashionphile
This is the shoes, accessories and jewelry luxury consignment shop. So if you have Louboutin, Gucci, Hermes, Dior and other Name Brands shoes and accessories,
Fashionphile is the way to go. They can give you a quote online or request a virtual appointment.
Like I said above, what's great about all these options is that while you help yourself, you help others by giving your clothes a second home and you keep your clothes out of landfills, helping the planet. It's good to do good even under these circumstances.
We'll get through this together.
Happy Shopping!
Your Friend,
The Fabulous Shoe Maven
