2020
Whew!
What a year you have been.
I have found myself more and more introspecive as the year has progressed. In a year like this where you never know what the next day, hour, minute will bring, going from trauma to trauma, low to low if you don't let go and keep pressing and looking at the good, you will never escape.
I was depressed for a lot of 2020. I'm sure many of us were. Just going through the motions because we had to. Doing what was necessary to survive but checked out from the experience of living. Perhaps thats why I wasn't as active on the blog this year.
I was focused too much on the bad, the stress, losing confidence in myself, in my faith, in people but I had to stop otherwise it would have completely overwhelmed and consumed me.
As this year has been trying and at times painful I have had to, often, to stop to look back and be thankful for what I have inspite of all the crazy.
Below are the 4 things, in no particular order, that I am most grateful for in 2020
I got to spend more time with my kids.
I started a new business which saw success
I was able to stay gainfully employed and Work from Home
My family stayed healthy
All of those things are a great blessing in all of the darkness that 2020 has felt like. I take heart though that with all the we have experienced I have begun to see a shift to better days. They may not come as quickly as we would like but they are coming. The winds of change are shifting, the tides are rolling, there is a change in the atmosphere and the air is pregnant with hope.
The BIGGEST breakthroughs, innovations and next level wins are birthed out of ENORMOUS adversity and pain.
That's why, for me, I'm going into 2021 focused on the word
Birth
When I had my children the strongest, most intense pain came right before they come out of my womb and I'm believing the pain, hurt and despair of 2020 will birth TREMENDOUS growth, blessings, opportunities and breakthrough.
I'm expecting growth in my life, in my position, in my businesses, in my family, in my faith, in my finances and beyond. After the year that 2020 has been, birth must come.
I pray this gives you hope. As 2020 comes to a close lets focus on the the blessings we had this year (eventhough the losses are many), expecting the birth of something great in 2021.
As always...
