Hey my Fabulous Fashionistas!

Happy September! We all know school will be back in session next week, at least in NYC anyway, and many will be returning to the office as well.

Masks will be an in-office norm but there is one thing I think most are not anticipating. If you are like me, I've been back to my office since around this time last year, you've already come to grips with the change in your work uniform. No more sweatpants, joggers, shorts or just your underwear.

For those of you who will just be getting back to the office you'll need to swap your sweatpants and joggers for jeans, slacks and skirts again. But will they still fit?

It been 18 months of being in the house, sitting in the hours, eating in the house, sleeping in the house. Did I mention we were in the house? We've been dealing with so much coming at us very fast and its been tramatic. The last thing most of us were doing was checking the scale.

I know for me it was jarring to have to wear real clothes again for the first time. And it was even more jarring because it was then that I realized most of them no longer fit 😲

As we celebrate? the Back to School season we have to remember its Back to... (insert what you're getting back to here) for us too and that means we need some new clothes for waistlines that may have grown. But no need to fear your Fabulous Shoe Maven is here with my list of ...

3 Must Have Return to Office Staples

Pants with an Elastic Waistband

Whether you wear jeans, dress pants or casual pants to the office, since working from home all the pants most of us have been wearing have been pants with elastic waists, so your new office pants should have them too. These below from Dressbarn will do the trick but so will some of my elastic pant picks in the SC Boutique. I had to include them, none of my pants fit 😂

Functional Shoes

Did you used to run to catch the train everyday? If you were one of those people I'm here to tell you that you may struggle to do that you first day back. Stairs that I used to walk with no problem left me out of breath and walking those city blocks to my office were a pill. Getting a few good pairs of comfortable shoes will help you get back into the swing of things. Shop some of my picks, I've purchased at least four pairs in the below selection.

Oversized Sweaters

We are going into the fall and while you work on trimming down your waistline (and if you have no such plan, no judgement because I don't either lol) an oversized sweater will do the trick to hide the Pandemic 15. Choose a few lightweight ones and thick versions as well. There are tons of each type in the SC Boutique because sweaters are some of my favorite things!

Stock up on these staples and masks and you'll be good to go.
