Happy August! Did you miss me? Let's play a little bit of catch up, shall we?
The pandemic happened, I got promoted at work, life got busy, my marriage ended, found out my daughter is on the spectrum, I'm in a loving, supportive relationship, lost 30lbs+ and counting and I'm about to close on my first house. Yay!
Thats a quick and dirty synopsis of the last two and a half years. lol. A lot of it was heavy. I was depressed most days and fighting though it. Taking it one day at a time. Fashion wasn't on my mind or even reflected in my personhood. You should have seen my wardrobe! It's not until now, as I've started coming out of it, that I've started to get back to me and all the beautiful things that mean so much to me.
I'm happy to be back.
As I'm preparing to move, I've been going through my closet trying to decide what to take and what to sell or give away. It's been a journey. I'm looking at things I haven't worn in years. This move is a fresh start for my family and I. I don't want to clutter it with clothes and shoes I don't wear. Especially now that I have lost weight, and I'm back down to a size 10, things I hadn't been able to fit are surprisingly back in rotation and old faithfuls are now too big.
I'll share more about my weight loss journey in another post.
I want to walk into this new season of my life with only the things I need to carry me into this new, fresh, fully renovated house. Fresh perspective, new outlook, less baggage, decluttered.
