I love supporting small businessess especially women and minority owned and I
try to highlight those new ones I discover because they really are awesome.
I hope you were able to support
Corvega that I
highlighted yesterday in my Black Friday post. They are part of the
We Are Women Owned Virtual Holiday Pop-Up
which features women-owned small businesses. So if you haven't checked them
out yet, below is some earring candy to entice you.
An easy one stop shop for Small Business Saturday is the
We Are Women Owed Virtual Holiday Pop-Up. I've been going the last few years but this year is online. They have
everything from accessories and clothes to boozy truffles. Yum! 😏
Below I share some of my faves not at the Pop-Up. So, let's get into some of
my favorite small businesses to share with you today.
I saw this clean beauty brand at the
We Are Women Owned Holiday Pop-Up Shop
and I got to meet the owner there, who handpicks each item. She explained to
me that she and her staff test each product themselves! She was able to tell
me about the products, exactly what was in them, how they feel and who they
work best for and why.
I didn't buy that day but with COVID-19 I've worked hard to purchase from the
small businesses I've encountered so I made my first Pretty Well Beauty
purchase last week and I'm excited for it to arrive. They have face scrubs,
moisturizers, make-up and teas, drinks and other health items and so much
more. Beauty is more than the outer and they treat the whole body.
If you have a clean beauty, whole body, good for the planet enthusist
Pretty Well Beauty
is your stop.
When I first say this brand it was love at first sight! The quality of the
clothes, the brand story, the owner they hit the trifecta of what you want in
a clothing brand. They are a New York based brand 💕, the clothes are handmade
and when you talk about passion for what you do... its off the charts
here.
I first saw this brand at a
Summer Pop-Up
- Pop-Ups are the beauty of living in a fashion mecca- the owner was wearing
this beautiful green dress and it was like gravity pulled me there. The only
reason I didn't buy then was that I went with a budget and I wasn't
going to break it. In hindsight I should have just pulled the trigger.
Lol.
If you have someone on your list who wants their clothes to mean something
Artega is the place.
I have talked about ABLE a lot this year. COVID hit them hard but they
were able to continue operations because of their clients who supported them
to keep them going. I'm proud to say I'm one of those clients.
They are a sustainable fashion brand based in Nashville, TN. All its items are
handmade and they have more than shoes, they have clothes, handbags and
jewelry too. I love their mission to support women artisans and its a good
quality product. See the
boots
and
flats
I have in my closet right now from ABLE, that I love!, and support
them.
ABLE really is a one stop shop spot for many of the ladies on your
list and you'll feel good about your purchase.
So, did you know that
Madewell
supports a collective of small batch owned products from makers and
creatives? Well now you do. Lol. While Madewell is not a small business,
Melissa Sonico is. She is a creative in California who is their newest
Hometown Heroand she makes beautiful handcrafted bold-meets-minimalist jewelry.
The minute I say the necklace below I wanted it. Lol.
If you (or anyone of your gift list) are like me minimalist, unqiue and
handcrafted pieces are right up your alley and so is Melissa Sonico.
Plus, check out the other
Hometown Heroes
over on a Madewell.
